Jen Bloom

Hi and welcome to my homepage. My name is Jen and I live in Boca Raton, Florida. I was born on Long Island. I go to Saint Andrew's School. I'm 14 years old, my birthday is on December 1st, and I have a twin sister named Melanie. My favorite sport is volleyball, I love to go shopping, and I listen to basically any kind of music except for classical and country and opera... and my favorite singer is Tori Amos. I have another webpage on her, if you want to see it. If you decide to go there, sign my guestbook, it makes me feel special.
Here is a picture of me and my friend Rachel. I am sitting next to her right now. In this picture I am the one on the right. We just took it about 3 minutes ago. I am nonphotogenic as you can tell.

So I didn't really know what to make this webpage on... I already have one on Tori and I made one for a school project that has a lot of information about me in it, which I'm not going to link to since its horrible. I really mean that. And so after a few minutes of thinking, I've decided to make this webpage about Madonna. This page is supposed to be about myself, but I think I pretty much told you everything you need to know. Oh yeah and when you're done, come back here and email me, because I love hearing comments about any of my webpages.

Madonna is supposed to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards this year (!!) which will be taking place at the Universal Ampitheater in LA on September 8th. She is nominated for 9 awards this year, including Best Video for "Ray of Light." It is also nominated for Best Female Video, Best Dance Video,
Best Choreography, Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Breakthrough Video. Frozen is up for Best Special Effects. She is nominated for more awards than any other artist!

Madonna will soon be seen in Wes Craven's "50 Violins" which will begin production in New York City.

Her next US single will be "The Power of Goodbye" and internationally "Drowned World/Substitute for Love" is up.

Thats basically the recent news on Madonna. So now I'll tell you a little bit about my personal experience with her music. When I first heard her was when my mom bought "The Immaculate Collection." I was about five years old. My sister and I loved that CD, and we would make up short dance routines to each and every song. I admired Madonna and wanted to be just like her. Then she appeared in A League of Their Own. Her character is "All the Way Mae." She was great in that movie! Then came Evita... and to say the least I hated her in that movie and I hated the soundtrack. After a while I forgot about her and went on to other things. And then she appeared on MTV again in 1997, with her video "Frozen." I loved the video, but I didn't really like the song. Then I saw "Ray of Light," and within the next few days I went to Borders and bought the whole CD. That song is so great! A lot of people tell me that the song is terrible and the rest of the CD is terrible, but I LIKE IT ... and that's all that matters, right? So I could tell you a million things about Madonna: how I thought I saw her in New York, but it ended up being Cindy Lauper, how the first time i saw the video for "Bedtime Stories" I was afraid of Madonna... but theres just so many things. But I guess that's just normal.

So... thats it for this webpage. Sorry there wasn't more stuff to look at or read about. But here are some links that you can try... they are all great Madonna webpages. A lot better than mine!

Don't forget to visit my Tori Amos webpage if you like her; it's a much better page than this one because I worked on it for a really long time and it has plenty of pictures and information and interviews and everything else. Oh yeah, and SIGN THE GUESTBOOK! It's really annoying when you go there and don't say anything! Thank you.
