Hello fellow internet surfers. I would
like to introduce myself to you. I am a third grade teacher in the
Broward County School System at North Side Elementary School.
I have been a public school teacher for 91/2 years, and a private school
teacher for over 28 years.
I was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, but
after I got married I moved to my husband's home town of Northboro, Massachusetts.
We built a house amidst an apple orchard and dug a brook for our
kids to swim in. And life was good! We moved to Glens Falls,
New York to join my brother-in-law in the restaurant business. My
husband, Arnold, now deceased, built his own restaurant, Arnold's the Place
for Deli, on 703 E. Broward Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The stress
of getting up at 4:00 a.m., cooking in the restaurant, teaching, taking
care of the home and three children helped to destroy a rather happy marriage.
So after 34 years, I got the house and the kids and he got the business.
Sometimes something good happens from something bad. I went back
to college and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. It
was a good decision.
My Interests
I guess that the best - and fastest - way to really get to know
me
is by discovering what I love. So here goes . . .
The love of my life is my 4 year old grandson, Jake. I fly
to Atlanta, Georgia at every opportunity. I am proud of my family
which consists of my three children, Caryn, Jared, (father of Jake) Joseph
and Linda, my daughter-in-law and mother of Jake. My favorite sport
is baseball--the Marlins of course. But I am sometimes disloyal when the
Atlanta Braves are involved.
I love to water
ski. I am an avid reader of mystery novels. Cooking comes
very easily to me. I enjoy being computer literate on the Macintosh
and I like to play CD's on my computer, while I'm working, especially Barbra
Streisand.
