My Home Page: Rae Cole

Here I am again at Technology Connection at FAU. I had so much fun last year that I decided to come back to see how much I could learn this year. I was moved to 8th grade this year at Conniston Middle School in West Palm Beach , Florida. I really did have a good year, despite my many misgivings. I taught the 7th grade gifted, two 8th grade advanced classes, and 3 regular classes--all math. Bill is Minister to College and Singles at Northwood Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, FL. I am working with the Singles in Bible Study as well as participating in many of the activities with them. We are enjoying this new experience much more than we had anticipated. There is a great group of singles in our church and the neighborhood. My Background I was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, but I grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi. BTW, that is the birth place of Elvis Presley, which is the city's claim to fame. Bill & I celebrated our 32nd anniversary this year by helping to celebrate our granddaughter, Abigail Rae's first birthday. We went to Birmingham to visit with Carissa, Marshall, and Abigail. We also went to Tupelo to see Abigail's great-grandmother, (my mother), and some of her great-aunts. Mother and I are going to New Jersey the end of July to visit with Kendra and Rodney and help them to settle into their new home there. They just moved from Orlando back to NJ. While we are there, we plan to visit my birthplace in Connecticut as well as where Mother & Daddy lived in Stratford many years ago. Here is Abigail's first-year school picture.

My Interests I love lighthouses. My classroom and my home have many pictures, figurines, and other lighthouse designs. My students bring me pictures, etc. of lighthouses that they visit or even see in stores and other places. It really helps my family at any gift-giving time to decide what to get for me--anything with lighthouses on it will thrill me.
