To keep abreast the continuous development in the communication field, the CSE Department is continuously updating existing courses and developing new curricula to reflect the new trends in the field. Communication courses offered in this Department currently include:

                  Local/Metropolitan Area Networks

This lab has been providing services to students numbering over 100 per semester regularly. Users of the lab include not only CSE students but also students from other departments that have the need to use the lab equipment.

In addition, this lab has been actively participating in programs promoting FAU Engineering education to junior and senior high school students. Activities include:

It has been observed that this lab is among the busiest labs in this campus. It is always occupied by students. A preliminary estimate of the number of users that have used this lab's facilities is over 2000 since the establishment of this lab in the beginning of 1996.
